Work location: Dubai Industrial City ( DIC ) | Dubai.

 

Job Position: Senior Design Engineer- Mechanical.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 Understand the requirement of each assigned task as per SO.

 Review the scope of work and project specification for assigned project.

 Reading and understanding all applicable client specification, making specification extract and convey the applicable requirements through drawing / calculation.

 Prepare technical queries and discuss with estimation team and client respectively for clarifications.

 Effective participation in all internal and external client meeting ,3D model review meetings etc.

 Perform all required design calculation for static Equipment’s like Pressure Vessel, Heat Exchangers.

 Review the drawings prepared by designers using checklists & in line with codes and project specifications and provide comments, if any.

 Guide design engineers/ draftsmen & provide assistance for implementation in 3D modelling, drawing preparation.

 Interact with other departments, suppliers and customers wherever necessary to achieve design objectives.

 Additional responsibilities as assigned by discipline manager.  

 

Skills required:

 Prepare ASME design calculations for pressure vessels, Heat Exchangers using PV Elite, Nozzle Pro software.

Checking GA drawing, detailed drawing and name plate drawing of Pressure vessels / heat exchangers.

 Must have understanding of writing technical mails.

 Must have hands on experience on Ms Excel, Word and Power Point.

 Understanding of ASME codes and other relevant standards, Understanding on the requirements as per

SABIC specification, ADNOC specification, SHEL- DEP etc.

 Must have faced the U designator (U-Stamp) audit.

 Must have work experience in fabrication industry.

 Must have working experience on design of all type of high pressure vessel, cladded vessel,

all TEMA type heat exchanger using ASME Sec VIII Div-1 , Div-2 , EN-13445, PD-5500.

 Must have understanding for design for wind ,seismic , blast loading condition.

 Understanding of Structural codes, good engineering practices etc.

 

 Added advantage:

1. Understanding of DNV 2-7.1, DNV2-7.3 requirements.

2. Understanding on statutory requirements like U Designator , CE ( PED)marking of 

Static Equipment and Skid Structure , NORSOK requirements.
